Montana Performing Arts Consortium  Visit Website

Formed in 1981, during its first nine years Montana Performing Arts Consortium arranged over fifty tours of performing arts events and saved presenters over $900,000 on reduced fees for block-booked events (cost difference between a single run-out and a block rate).

In 1984 MPAC initiated the first Montana Performing Artists’ Showcase, which has become an annual event, along with a Block-booking Conference. Both events generate increased bookings for Montana Artists and encourage emerging or smaller Montana presenters to book more events. MPAC continues to assist the development of rural and emerging presenters through the Quick Grant program designed specifically for their needs. Since 1987, with funds from the Montana Cultural Trust, MPAC has awarded more than $145,000 in fee support monies to emerging rural presenters.

Montana Chamber Music Society Visit Website

Founded in 2009, MCMS promotes traditional and contemporary chamber music in Montana.  Performances include the musicians of the world-class Muir String Quartet, based in Boston, and invitational appearances from Mike Reynolds, cello, Angella Ahn, violin, and Phil Aaberg, piano.  Currently, most performances are in Bozeman; however, MCMS shares these musical talents with other Montana cities and towns through performances in Red Lodge, Big Sky, Georgetown Lake (St. Timothy’s Festival), Livingston, Great Falls and Helena.  It is a major goal to expand this list to include towns in eastern Montana.
